The Indian market will not be greeting the Honda CBR250RR and CBR300R motorcycles anytime in the near future. The Japanese 2-wheeler maker wants to solely focus on volumes in India.
Japanese companies have had struggles in the past bringing their world famous products to India and making them sell here. Honda has followed suit with this issue, and for now will be content with its current lineup. The CBR250R was a mere crawler in terms of sales figures and it did not offer the best of performance in that segment either. Expecting a replacement was always on the cards when it came to this 250cc hunk.
Honda, probably is surprisingly satisfied by updating colour schemes and having minor changes on the CBR250R like new graphics. Honda has also proposed a plan to do an overhaul with all of its models this year. This comes in consequence to the mandatory regulations to meet BS-IV emission standards and also to install AHO (All-time Headlamp On) in its bikes.
The company’s ha confirmed that neither the CBR250RR nor the CBR300R will make its way to Indian shores. It has been showcased a lot about in the Indonesian market, but has failed to reach the Indian market. The CBR500 and its iterations too won’t be seen anytime soon on our roads. Thankfully, the much-awaited Honda Africa Twin motorcycle will be landing on Indian soil next year, offered with a DCT automatic gearbox.
