Updated Jazz to get styling changes and single BS6 petrol engine option.
The Japanese carmaker is revising their Indian lineup. The BS6 Honda Jazz was teased just before the lockdown started in April. Now the launch has been delayed, it won’t be coming anytime soon.
On top of that, Honda has decided not to offer BS6 diesel engine option with the Jazz now. The hatchback will only come with a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine.
The company has decided to offer diesel engine in specific segments according to the customer’s preference. Diesel powertrain is more preferred with WR-V and Amaze. Jazz customers are opting for petrol veriants.
Hence, Honda has decided to discontinue the diesel variants in Jazz. The 1.2-litre BS6 petrol will be offered with both 5-speed manual and 7-step CVT automatic transmission.
The engine produces 90 PS at 6000 RPM and 110 Nm of torque at 4800 RPM. No changes are expected in the performance department. Slight tweaks to be made in the engine to comply with BS6 norms.
The facelifted Jazz will come with new grille and revised bumpers. New LED headlights will be offered along with more features on the inside.
While it was teased in April, the launch has been postponed due to the lockdown. Honda is facing production and supply chain constraints at the moment.

The Honda Jazz has quite huge rivalry to compete with. It goes against the Maruti Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and the likes.
