KTM recalls multiple Duke models worldwide due to defective fuel cap seals

KTM has announced a global recall for several Duke models after identifying a potential defect in the fuel tank cap seal. The recall covers MY2024 units of the 125 Duke, 250 Duke, 390 Duke and the 990 Duke.

Reason for the Recall

During internal quality checks, KTM found that the fuel cap seals on certain motorcycles may not meet the required durability standards. The affected seals could develop hairline cracks over time, which may result in fuel leakage.

What Affected Owners Should Do

KTM will directly contact owners of motorcycles included in the recall. Customers will be asked to schedule a visit to their nearest authorised service centre, where the defective part will be replaced at no cost.

Owners can also check whether their motorcycle is part of the recall by entering the vehicle’s VIN on the official KTM website.
