Tata introduces more affordable Harrier EV AWD with new Fearless+ trim
Tata Motors has expanded the Harrier EV lineup with the introduction of a more accessible all-wheel drive (AWD) variant. The new Fearless+ 75 trim is priced at Rs. 26.49 lakhs (ex-showroom), reducing the entry point for the dual-motor setup by approximately Rs. 2.50 lakh compared to the earlier top-spec-only availability.
Previously limited to the range-topping Empowered 75 variant, the AWD configuration is now offered across two trims. This move allows a broader set of buyers to opt for the dual-motor setup without stepping up to the highest variant in the range.
The Fearless+ 75 variant continues to use the larger 75kWh battery pack paired with two electric motors – one on each axle. Combined output stands at 313 HP and 504 Nm. Tata claims a range of up to 622 km on a single charge for this configuration. The AWD variants also come equipped with multiple terrain modes, along with features such as off-road assist and a boost mode aimed at enhancing performance in varied driving conditions.
In terms of equipment, the Fearless+ trim offers a comprehensive feature set. It includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered front seats with memory function for the driver, ventilated seats, a 360-degree camera and a 10-speaker JBL audio system. Other features such as dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charging and rear sunshades are also part of the package.
However, compared to the top-spec Empowered variant, it misses out on certain premium features. These include Level 2 ADAS, auto park assist, a larger infotainment display, a digital inside rear-view mirror, Dolby Atmos audio, powered tailgate and additional convenience functions.
Tata Motors has also introduced a new Seaweed Green exterior colour, which is now available across the Harrier EV range. Aside from the addition of this new variant and colour option, there are no changes to the underlying mechanical setup or overall feature structure of the lineup.
The Harrier EV continues to be priced between Rs. 21.49 lakhs and Rs. 28.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). Buyers should note that the AC home charger is offered at an additional cost.
