JLR pauses Solihull production briefly due to parts shortage issues

Jaguar Land Rover has paused vehicle production at its Solihull manufacturing facility in the United Kingdom due to a shortage of key components. The interruption is described as temporary, with operations expected to resume once supply constraints are resolved.

Parent company Tata Motors confirmed the development in a regulatory filing, stating that the disruption is short-term and limited in scope. The company added that it does not foresee any significant impact on its broader operations or financial performance.

The Solihull plant is responsible for producing premium models such as the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. According to reports, production of these vehicles has been affected, with the halt likely to continue for approximately two weeks.

This marks the second instance in recent months where supply chain challenges have led to a temporary shutdown at JLR facilities, highlighting ongoing vulnerabilities in component sourcing.

JLR has stated that it is working closely with its suppliers to address the issue at the earliest and resume normal production, aiming to minimise disruption across its manufacturing operations.
