Maruti Suzuki has reported its highest annual production to date, with total output reaching 23.4 lakh passenger vehicles in FY2025-26. This marks a notable increase of 11.66 percent compared to the previous financial year and sets a new benchmark for the Indian automotive industry.
The company also stands out within the global operations of Suzuki Motor Corporation, as it is the only manufacturing base to have achieved this level of annual production.
Several high-volume models contributed significantly to this milestone. Vehicles such as the Dzire, Fronx, Swift, Ertiga and Baleno each recorded production figures exceeding 2 lakh units during the year, reflecting sustained demand across multiple segments.
Maruti Suzuki’s production growth has shown a steady upward trend over recent years. The company manufactured 19.22 lakh units in FY2022-23, followed by 19.84 lakh units in FY2023-24. This was further scaled up to 21.02 lakh units in FY2024-25, before reaching the current peak in FY2025-26.
The carmaker currently operates four manufacturing facilities located in Gurugram, Manesar and Kharkhoda in Haryana, along with a plant in Hansalpur, Gujarat. Combined, these facilities offer an installed annual production capacity of approximately 24 lakh units.
Looking ahead, Maruti Suzuki is planning to expand its manufacturing footprint with a fifth plant in Sanand, Gujarat. Once operational, this facility is expected to add a capacity of up to 10 lakh units annually, supporting future growth in both domestic and export markets.
