The 125 version will look more or less the same

Aprilia has showcased their new maxi-scooter SXR 160 at the Auto Expo 2020. The Italian two-wheeler maker is also coming up with the Aprilia SXR 125 with a lower capacity engine borrowed from the SR 125.

The SXR 125 will share most of its mechanicals with the SR 125 including engine, brakes, suspension, etc. The styling will be very similar to the SXR 160 but the 125 version will get different graphics and minor differentiating elements.

The bike maker is expected to introduce the SXR 125 after the SXR 160 launch in mid-2020. The entry-level SXR will be priced Rs. 10-15,000/- more than the SR 125 and will compete head on with the Suzuki Burgman Street 125.

The Aprilia SXR 125 could get the same LED lights and LCD instrument cluster with optional smartphone connectivity just like its elder sibling.

The same 125cc, BS6 compliant engine is expected to be offered that produces 10 PS at 7700 RPM and 9.7 Nm at 6000 RPM.
