Luxury car makers Aston Martin, Bentley and Maserati will participate at the 2016 Auto Expo which is for the first time. This is part of their brand building efforts in India.

You might not have seen many supercars at the Auto Expo but that will soon change. While high-end car makers have resisted from participating at India’s biggest automobile event, the tide is set to change. Although Ferrari and Maserati cars were showcased at the 2010 Auto Expo, they went missing in the next editions. This is because the Shreyans Group which handled multiple luxury brands, showcased a few cars from various brands at its stall. Now Aston Martin, Maserati and Bentley plan to have their own stalls at the 2016 Auto Expo, which will make the biennial event even bigger than what it already is.

Considering the storm of people at the Auto Expo each year, these companies will put in a lot of security in place to ensure no scratches come on these priced possessions. One can expect Aston Martin, Bentley and Maserati to be in the same building although Fiat owns Maserati and Volkswagen owns Bentley (usually the same group has stalls in the same hall like Volkswagen and Skoda, Tata Motors and JLR are side by side). One can also expect the complete range from all three manufacturers to be displayed so car lovers will witness the Ghibli, Continental GT and One-77 under one roof.

The 2016 Auto Expo will be held from 5th to 9th February at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The shifting of location from Pragati Maiden has been a big boon, the old location still in play as it hosts the component expo. The luxury car maker will touch 35,000 units in India this year and the latest entrant (rather re-entrant) is Ferrari. Now when will Auto Expo witness Italian exotics like Lamborghini, Pagani and Ferrari remains to be seen. In the same breath, we also await Koenigsegg, Bugatti and Tesla.
