Benelli TRK 251 adventure tourer has been showcased at the ongoing EICMA Show.

Benelli TRK 251 Unveiled
Benelli TRK 251 looks like a miniature version of the TRK 502

One of the oldest Italian automakers, Benelli showcased the TRK 502, its first-ever purpose-built adventure motorcycle, last year. Making quite a buzz at EICMA this year with a slew of launches and unveilings, Benelli has also taken covers off its entry-level adventure tourer TRK 251 which is built on the lines of the TRK 502.

Quite aptly, the Benelli TRK 251 takes design inspiration from its elder sibling. The unmistakable adventure-tourer appearance is complemented by an elongated beak and a tall visor at the front, while the overall stance is raised with upright seating position. The sculpted shrouds and creases on the tank dissolve neatly into an elegant tail section which makes the TRK 251 quite a looker!

Sitting under the steel tube trellis frame is a 250cc single-cylinder DOHC motor which develops 25.4 BHP of power at 9250 RPM and 21 Nm of torque at 8000 RPM. This liquid-cooled engine comes mated to a six-speed transmission. To tame the worst of terrains, the TRK 251’s suspension setup comprises of 41 mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Moreover, the fuel tank capacity of 17-liters would give it a healthy touring range.

For braking, the Benelli TRK 251 has got a four-piston caliper at the front biting on the 280 mm disc brake while the rear end makes do with a 240 mm disc with a single piston caliper. The 17-inch wheels are clad in 110-section tyres at the front and 150-section at the rear. Along with the Imperiale 400, 402S and Leoncino 250, this one also looks like a promising product. While the TRK 251 is expected to go on sale later in 2018, there are no clues about its India launch yet.
