BMW F 900 R Price Starts At Rs. 9.90 Lakhs

BMW F 900 roadster and sport tourer launched in India via CBU.

BMW Motorrad has launched the F 900 R & F 900 XR in India. The bikes comes with a starting price of Rs. 9.90 lakhs (ex-showroom). Both the models are imported to India via CBU route.

The BMW F 900 R roadster is available in a single variant. The BMW F 900 XR adventure sports tourer is offered in 2 variants – Standard and Pro.

BMW F 900 R is offered in two colour options – black and silver/red. The F 900 XR comes in two colours as well – white and red.

BMW Motorrad India is offering 3 years/unlimited km warranty with an option to extend warranty to fourth and fifth year. 24×7 365 days Road Side Assistance package is offered with the bikes.

Both the motorcycles are powered by a 895cc, water-cooled, DOHC, in-line 2-cylinder engine. The motor churns out 105 HP at 8500 RPM and 92 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. 0-100 km/hr acceleration time is claimed to be 3.6 seconds. While the top speed is rated at 200 km/hr.

Upside-down telescopic fork handles the front suspension duties while the rear gets a double-sided swinging arm with central suspension strut.

The F 900 range comes with Rain and Road riding modes as standard. The throttle response is tweaked in the Rain mode for gentle output and optimal grip on wet and slippery road surface with traction control.

The Road mode offers optimum throttle response. ABS and traction control in this mode are set for ideal performance.

Some of the key highlights of the bikes include 6.5-inch colour TFT screen, BMW Motorrad smartphone connectivity, helmet equipped with BMW Motorrad Communication System for phone calls, music and navigation, etc.

The BMW Motorrad Connected App offers arrow-based navigation via TFT screen. There is a multi-controller on the left-hand handlebar for screen operation.

Both the bikes come with anti-lock braking system (ABS), automatic stability control (ASC), anti-hopping clutch and cast aluminium wheels as standard safety features.

The BMW F 900 XR Pro variant is offered with additional features like Cruise Control, Gear Shift Assist Pro and Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment).
