Chery is a China based automobile manufacturer that was found in 1997. Chery Automobiles was founded by the Chinese government and is a state-owned corporation. Chery has a range of cars in its product portfolio that includes hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and MUVs. In 2012, Chery and Land Rover formed a China based joint venture to sell and manufacture Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles along with setting up an R&D centre. Qoros brand of cars was also established by Chery in association with Israel Corporation in 2007. Chery has no plans to introduce its cars in India. Chery has operations in Brazil, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, Uruguay and Venezuela.
