The 2015 Fiat Avventura will be launched just before the festive season. It will be priced close to Rs. 8 lakhs (on-road) for the base Active variant.
The 2015 Fiat Avventura crossover is generating a lot of buzz these days. The vehicle is something that appeals to the heart and mind both. Now some more details about the Avventura have emerged and word is that it is going to be launched on 15th October. Fiat dealers have already started accepting bookings for the vehicle at a cost of Rs. 20,000/- which is completely refundable if you wish to cancel the booking at a later stage. Exact pricing is not known but it will be approximately Rs. 8 lakhs (on-road) for the base Active variant.
We have attached the brochure (Fiat has printed the pictures of the concept version on it) with this article and according to that, airbags will be standard only on the top-end diesel variant. Other than this, the base variant is pretty much spartan with only basic features while the middle variant gets a decent dose of goodies. It is the top variant which is loaded to the gills with dual airbags, ABS, height adjustable seat belts, ambient lighting on the dashboard, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, leather wrapped steering wheel, defogger and rear wiper, rear split seats, Blue&Me and steering-mounted audio controls.
Powering the Fiat Avventura are two engines. The first is the 1.3-litre Multijet unit with 93 PS of power and 209 Nm of torque. The other engine is the 1.4-litre FIRE unit giving out 90 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol engine gives a claimed ARAI fuel efficiency of 14.4 km/l while the diesel engine returns 20.5 km/l. The Avventura has the ability to turn around Fiat’s fortunes in India. It will compete with the Ford EcoSport and some pseudo crossovers like the Volkswagen Cross Polo and the Toyota Etios Cross.
