Ford Endeavour is a mammoth-size SUV which boasts of excellent off-road dynamics

Launched in January 2016, Ford Endeavour created a massive stir in the premium SUV segment that was ruled by the Toyota Fortuner till then. Aiming to gain an upper hand in its fierce rivalry with the Jap brand, Ford has made a prominent addition to the feature list of the Endeavour 2.2-litre Titanium trim which now comes with electric panoramic sunroof. Apart from the Fortuner, the American SUV rivals the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Isuzu MU-X and Skoda Kodiaq.

The Ford Endeavour is available in Trend and Titanium variants (powered by a standard 2.2-litre 4-cylinder fuel burner) with the latter coming with an option of a more-powerful 3.2-litre diesel engine. Until now, panoramic sunroof was exclusive to the top-of-the-line 3.2-litre Titanium trim but the much-hyped feature has now made its way to the 2.2-litre Titanium trim as well. Apart from that, there are no changes in the equipment list, which is quite expansive to begin with.

While the Endeavour range starts at Rs. 25.64 lakhs, the 2.2-litre trim with panoramic sunroof has been priced at Rs. 29.57 lakhs which is Rs. 2.83 lakhs cheaper than the 3.2-litre variant (All prices ex-showroom, Mumbai). The 2.2-litre mill produces 160 PS of power and 385 Nm of torque and the 3.2-litre engine is good for 200 PS of power and 470 Nm of torque. Both the motors come mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In other news, the 7-seater SUV is also due for a facelift which has been spotted in Thailand in recent times. The 2019 model is expected to hit our shores next year after being unveiled officially this year.
