Ford Mustang Mach-E to hit the Indian shores by 2021.

Ford has recently revealed their first full-electric vehicle – Ford Mustang Mach-E. The electric crossover takes styling inspiration from the legendary Mustang performance car. The American carmaker is likely to launch the Mach-E in India by 2021.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E will be launched in our market via CBU. It will be quite an expensive product by Ford but will benefit with lower taxes for electric vehicles in India.

At the time of the launch in 2021, the Ford Mustang Mach-E will compete with Audi e-tron and Jaguar I-Pace in the Indian market as the latter two are expected to be launched in the country in 2020.

However, which of the two battery options will be launched in India is still unclear. The entry-level Mach-E trim comes with a 75 kWh battery and 258 HP motor or a 99 kWh battery and 289 HP motor. 0-100 km/hr claimed time is under 8 seconds and a range of 450 km or 595 km.

The twin-motor version gets all-wheel-drive and comes with 75 kWh battery with 258 HP or 99 kWh battery with 337 HP. This motor comes with a claimed sub-7 seconds 0-100 km/hr time. It has a range of 419 km and 540 km. All trims have a limited top speed of 179 km/hr.
