Hero XPulse 200 4V launched with a price tag of Rs. 1.28 lakhs (ex-showroom). The Indian bike maker claims that they have improved its off-road, touring and commuting capabilities.

The adventure motorcycle is powered by a 200cc, 4 valve, oil cooled engine that produces 19.1 PS of power at 8500 RPM and 17.35 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

There are new colour themes on offer

Hero has introduced a 7 fin oil cooler for better heat management in heavy traffic. The transmission has also been updated for more durability and gets revised gear ratios for better acceleration.

The bike maker claims it offers stress free high-speed performance with controlled vibrations.

There is a new LED headlight which provides 21 percent better visibility. Some of the other features include full digital LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and call alerts, Turn-by-Turn navigation, Gear indicator, Eco Mode and two Trip meters and Single Channel ABS.

There’s 190 mm front and 170 mm rear long suspension travel with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. Braking performance comes from front and rear petal discs.

For better off-road experience, it comes with aluminium skid plate protecting the engine, new toothed brake pedal for grip and control and an upswept exhaust for deep water crossing.

Further, the 200 4V gets dual-purpose tyres, 10-step adjustable mono-shock suspension, seat height of 825 mm and a ground clearance of 220 mm.

For travel junkies, the new motorcycle comes with luggage plate with bungee hooks. There’s an integrated USB charger as well. Hero claims, there is improved seat comfort for long rides. The windshield provides better wind and weather protection as well according to the bike maker.

While there is a single, fully loaded variant on offer, you get to choose between three colour options – Trail Blue, Blitz Blue and Red Raid. Hero continues to offer Rally Kit for the bike which is homologated for FMSCI approved motorsports events.
