Hero Xpulse 200 Features
The Xpulse 200 is the more off-road oriented version out of the two

Hero MotoCorp today launched the highly anticipated Xpulse 200 and the Xpulse 200T in India. Both the motorcycles are the company’s entry-level adventure tourers, with the Xpulse 200T being the more road-focused version of the Xpulse 200. The motorcycles come underpinned by a diamond type frame.

The Hero Xpulse 200 is the off-road oriented one among the two. It gets a 10-step preload adjustable rear monoshock with 170 mm of travel and the front is suspended by 37 mm telescopic forks with Double DU Bush and 190 mm of travel. While the wheels on the Xpulse 200 are spoke-wheels, the brake rotors are petal type. In the dimension department, the Xpulse is bigger in dimensions as well as the ground clearance and seat height. It comes with a 21-inch knobbly wheel at the front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear. The motorcycle also gets a high mounted front mudguard, metal bash plate and a high-mounted exhaust canister for better water wading capabilities.

Coming to the Hero Xpulse 200T, it features a 37 mm telescopic front suspension and 7-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is done by a 276 mm disc at the front and 220 mm disc at the rear. With more focus on urban-riding, the Xpulse 200T comes with 100/80/17 tyres at the front and 130/70/17 tyres at the rear. The motorcycle is also smaller in dimensions and has a lower seat height compared to the Xpulse 200. Both the motorcycles get single-channel ABS as standard fitment and come with the same fully-digital instrument console enabled with the Hero app. Additionally, the motorcycles also get full LED lighting.

Powering the Xpulse 200 and the Xpulse 200T is a 199.6cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, 2-valve, single-cylinder engine with an overhead cam. The engine produces a maximum power output of 18.4 PS at 8000 RPM and 17.1 Nm of torque at 6500 RPM. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Xpulse 200 is available in both carburettor and fuel injected versions while the 200T is available only in a carb version.

The Hero Xpulse 200 is priced at Rs. 97,000/- (carb) and Rs. 1.05 lakhs (FI) while the road-focused Xpulse 200T is priced at Rs. 94,000/- (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
