The Honda Navi has just crossed the 10,000 unit sales mark. What Honda is calling the Navi-lution seems to have caught on well with youngsters due to its fresh and somewhat quirky looks. Honda has also stated that it will expand the Navi to over 35 cities by the end of this month.

Honda Navi Review
The Navi seems to have appealed to the youth with its fresh styling

Honda has always preferred to create a segment rather than compete in one. The CBR250R, the CBR650F, all stand true to this notion. Thus, while it has been face-lifting and updating its Activa, Honda decided to take a gamble, and introduce a new segment in India with its scooter-bike hybrid, the Navi. The Honda Navi was one of the hottest draws during the 2016 Auto Expo, and wooed the audience with its quirky, yet fresh looks, and a novel factor that it brought to the game.

While a few years back, something like the Honda Navi, would not have survived, due to the practicality oriented market we had, the story has changed quite a lot. We Indians are finally starting to see and accept the fun aspect of these vehicles. The Honda Navi is a hoot to ride, and that combined with the unique looks, have made it quite a successful gamble for the Japanese automaker.

The Honda Navi has thus crossed the five-digit mark for its sales figures, recording over 10,000 unit sales since its launch. Further the Navi app that was launched exclusively for booking the two-wheeler, has also seen 44,000 downloads. The app is available across iOS and Android platforms. Owing to the success, Honda has also stated that it will expand the Navi’s reach to over 35 cities by the end of this month.

The Honda Navi was launched as a bike-scooter hybrid with endless customisation options, to really make it your own. It is powered by the same 110cc motor that powers the Activa. The Navi retails for Rs. 39,648/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) and has no direct rival.
