The upcoming Honda Scoopy has been spotted testing in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

Honda Scoopy Side Profile
The Honda Scoopy is one funky looking scooter

The Honda Scoopy has been spotted testing for the first time in India. The scooter has been spotted testing somewhere in the vicinity of Shimla.

The spotted scooter features a retro design styling with a sleek rear-end. The big round headlight with integrated turn indicators and the rounded rearview mirrors in the front fascia add to the retro charm of the scooter. The Scoopy also features alloy wheels with a disc brake for the front wheel and a regular drum brake for the rear wheel. Honda might offer the front disc brake as an option to keep a check on costs.

Powering the Honda Scoopy is the same 110cc air-cooled engine that does duty in the other 110cc Honda scooters. This motor coupled with Honda Eco Technology develops 8 HP of power and 9 Nm of torque and comes mated to a CVT gearbox.

The Honda Scoopy is expected to be launched in the Indian market by early 2018 and will primarily rival the retro scooters like Yamaha Fascino and Suzuki Access 125. In fact, Honda had announced that two new scooters would be launched in the current financial year and if reports are to be believed, the Scoopy will be one of those two scooters.
