Hyundai Creta scores five stars in ASEAN NCAP crash test

Hyundai Creta has just scored full five stars in ASEAN NCAP crash test. This is the facelifted version that will soon make its debut in the Indian market as well.

The Creta has accumulated an overall score of 75.78 points in this crash test. It scored 34.72 points for the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) category, 15.56 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP), 14.08 points for Safety Assist (SA) and 11.42 points for Motorcyclist Safety (MS) category.

In terms of safety features it gets Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Seatbelt Reminder System (SBR) for frontal occupants, ISOFIX installation for child seats and Pedestrian Protection technology as standard in all its variants.

It features ADAS tech as well with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) City, AEB Inter-Urban, AEB Pedestrian, Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist (LKA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Auto High Beam (AHB) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD).

This is the Indonesian model of the Hyundai Creta. The Indian version that was tested early this year scored an average 3 star rating at Global NCAP and the body shell integrity was rated as unstable.
