Hyundai India has taken a crucial new road for their sub-continent market. The automaker is all geared up to introduce a new array of vehicles in the Indian market and they will be slotted across a whole new variety of segments. Their main focus will be on sub-4 metre SUVs, hybrids and automatic transmission cars which may increase their market share steadily.

Managing Director and CEO, YK Koo of Hyundai Motor India stated, “The launch of two models every year will give customers a wide range of varieties to choose from. For 2016, we have a model above Creta and another executive model below Creta as well. Both these new models will be revealed in festive seasons.”

The CEO also expressed his concern over Middle East and South American markets. Hyundai will soon be expanding its plant manufacturing capacity from 6.5 lakhs to 7.1 lakh units or above. Altogether 23.56 lakhs units have been exported from India and 42 lakhs have been sold in the domestic market as well.

The R&D department in Korea and India is keen on developing a new SUV to set up new standards for the company. Company officials also stated that they are planning to introduce AMT variants of their existing products in the portfolio. A whooping $ 3.1 billion investment made by Hyundai India in the domestic market is meant for something bigger.
