ICML Extreme Ambulance Front

International Cars and Motors Limited (ICML) has launched the Extreme Ambulance in India. ICML is a subsidiary of Sonalika Group which masters in making tractors in our country. Besides tractors, this Indian company also has the Rhino MUV, Windy pickup truck and the Extreme SUV in their portfolio. The Extreme Ambulance is based on the Extreme SUV and boasts of good space, comfort and mileage. Having itself based on an SUV/MPV, the ambulance can well tackle rough roads with ease.

The power to this ambulance is derived from a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, CRD-Fi turbocharged diesel engine which churns out a maximum power of 120 BHP and torque of 270 Nm. There is a second diesel engine on offer which is also a 2.0-litre. 4-cylinder unit but with reduced power output of 100 BHP and torque of 240 Nm. The ambulance is 4440 mm long and sits on a 2541 mm long wheelbase. It features independent double wishbone suspension up front and leaf spring suspension at the rear. The Extreme Ambulance will be based on two variants, air-conditioning and power steering being the major factor differentiating the variants.

The Extreme Ambulance can seat five people including the driver and comes well equipped with all the necessities of an ambulance. The Extreme Ambulance has been very competitively priced in the range of Rs. 6.15 – 6.58 lakhs ( ex-showroom). The ambulance is bound to hit the showrooms by October 2013. ICML has an increasing network of dealers pan India where sales and service can be acquired. ICML is also offering 24×7 toll free road assistance service for the customers for the first one year. Will the Extreme Ambulance become a fitting replacement to the Maruti Omni which is currently doing ambulance duty in most hospitals?
