The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is coming to India this March 2015 but not everyone will get a chance to buy one as the availability is very limited with extremely few units allocated to our country.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R
At Rs. 30 lakhs, the Ninja H2 is expensive but worth the asking price

Which is the bike of this year? Without doubt, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 and it’s headed to our shores with the launch set for March 2015. Kawasaki has now opened bookings for this hyper superbike and the booking amount costs an equally insane Rs. 10 lakhs. The first lot of bikes are almost sold out as the Japanese automaker allotted only five units in the initial batch and four of them are already taken. Priced at a whooping Rs. 31.95 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai), the Ninja H2 doesn’t come cheap but then it offers what no other bike in its class does.

After the first lot, Kawasaki will bring in more such lots but they will be small in single digits. The current bookings will see delivery in March 2015 and bookings will open once again at the time of launch for delivery in the next couple of months thereafter. Kawasaki bringing the Ninja H2 to India so soon shows the company’s commitment to the country but we would appreciate if the automaker could offer more affordable entry-level bikes as the current entry to brand Green doesn’t come cheap at Rs. 3.37 lakhs for the recently launched Z250.

What makes the Kawasaki Ninja H2 so special? It’s powered by a 999cc, in-line 4 motor which is supercharged and outputs 200 PS of power and 113.5 Nm of torque. Although 200 PS doesn’t sound exciting enough anymore as almost all litre-class offerings produce that much output, it’s the H2R which has out attention, it produces 300 PS but is limited to track use only and isn’t India bound. Maybe Kawasaki could consider offering performance parts for the H2 in India, bringing its performance close to the mad hooligan, the H2R.
