Automobili Lamborghini has launched the Huracan EVO in India at a price of Rs. 3.73 crores (ex-showroom). This is the next step to the generation of V10 supercars, with the Huracan EVO now embedded with the naturally aspirated motor of the Huracan Performante and all-new dynamic control and aerodynamics. The engine is tuned to produce a higher power output and deliver an exotic sound, owing to its Titanium intake valves and refined lightweight exhaust system.

The 5.2-litre V10 engine delivers a road splitting 640 BHP at 8000 RPM with a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 6500 RPM, capable enough to send a shiver down your spine. Complimenting the exorbitant stats of the engine, the car gives us a power-to-weight ratio of 2.22 kg/BHP, which helps the car accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just under 3 seconds and from 0-200 km/hr in a blazing fast 9 seconds. With these acceleration figures, the brakes don’t let you down and provide you with enough firepower to bring the car to a halt from 100-0 km/hr in just 31.9 meters. The car boasts of a top speed of more than 325 km/hr.

The Lamborghini Huracan EVO features a new rear-wheel steering and torque vectoring system that works on all the four wheels, while the car has the new Lamborghini Dinamica Integrata (LDVI) feature, a Central Processing Unit that controls and monitors every aspect of the car’s dynamic behaviour and is set-up to anticipate the next moves and needs of the driver and deliver perfect driving dynamics.

A comprehensive set of accelerators and gyroscopes are also set up at the car’s centre of gravity known as the Lamborghini Piattaforma Inerziale (LPI), which has been enhanced to version 2.0. With an improvement in precision, it monitors in real-time the dynamic vehicle attitude regarding lateral, longitudinal and vertical accelerations, along with the roll, pitch, and yaw rate. The magneto rheological suspension is also raised to version 2.0 and instantaneously adapts the damping inputs as commanded by the LPI.

Enhanced Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS) provides the driver with an extra responsive steering, which acknowledges the cornering ability of the car with low steering inputs and is now coupled with rear-wheel steering to ensure agility at low speeds and maximum stability in high-speed cornering and braking under the most severe conditions.

Governed by the LDVI, these features deliver an unparalleled driving experience in terms of agility and control of the car. The car recognises the driver’s wants through the steering wheel, brakes and accelerator pedal inputs, engaged gear and the driving modes selected via the ANIMA controller – STRADA, SPORT or CORSA. A ‘feed forward logic’ is implemented via the dynamic controller, which means that the car just doesn’t react, but predicts the aptest driving set-up for the upcoming moment.

The Lamborghini Huracan EVO sports a new front bumper, which gives the car a low, emphatic personality, whilst assuring aerodynamic efficiency via the front splitter with integrated wing. The car has enlarged intakes at the front that feature the Ypsilon shape, inherent in the Lamborghini DNA. The side profile of the car feature Lamborghini’s hexagon design references in the windows and new side air intakes.

The rear profile is where the car displays the power and dynamism that lies within the beautifully crafted body. The twin outlets of the exhaust system are placed high up in the car’s rear bumper. The upper end of the tail features an integrated spoiler providing enhanced airflow, complementing the cars aerodynamic abilities which is now five times more than the previous Huracan.

The multimedia system features an 8.4-inch HMI capacitive touchscreen, located in the centre console just above the aircraft styled start/stop button. The system governs the functions of the car such as seats, climate and also the status of the LDVI in real-time, along with Apple CarPlay support. It also has navigation and is compatible with the virtual assistant, Siri. An optional dual-camera telemetry system is offered via the touchscreen system, allowing advanced telemetry recording and analysis.

The Lamborghini Huracan EVO comes in Arancio Xanto, which is an iconic new Lamborghini four-layered colour. The car is offered with Pirelli P Zero tires which are wrapped in the exquisite 20-inch Aesir rims. The interiors of the car feature a dedicated new EVO trim in Alcantara and leather mix, with Arancio Dryope details matching the body tone. Lightweight materials such as Carbon Forged Composites and Lamborghini’s patented Carbon Skin are available as per the customer’s request which is complemented with the new ambient lighting inside the cabin.
