Lotus India launch soon with two products

Iconic British sports car manufacturer, Lotus, is preparing to make its India launch soon later this year. Known for its Formula 1 history and lightweight sports cars, Lotus is set to offer Indian enthusiasts a taste of its exceptional engineering and performance.

The exclusive distributor for Lotus vehicles in India will be Exclusive Motors, headquartered in New Delhi. The initial offerings to grace Indian roads will be the Emira and the Eletre.

The Emira is a small, lightweight and agile sports car that will be among the first models to roll out. It will be available in two powertrain options – a 365 HP, 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine sourced from AMG and a more powerful 406 HP, 3.5-litre supercharged V6 from Toyota.

What sets the Emira apart from its Lotus predecessors is its focus on enhanced fit, finish and practicality. This model offers amenities such as door pockets, cup holders, digital instrumentation and a central touchscreen, providing a more comfortable and modern driving experience.

Lotus is not only bringing its classic sports cars to India but is also venturing into electric vehicles with the Eletre. As the name suggests, the Eletre is an all-electric SUV.

The Eletre and Eletre S models pack an impressive 611 HP punch, while the R version takes things up a notch with a staggering 918 HP total output. Underneath, all versions are equipped with a 109 kWh battery with a 800V system, capable of rapid charging at up to 350 kW. The anticipated price range for the Eletre is expected to fall between Rs. 2.5 crores to 3.1 crores.
