Mahindra Scorpio N Production

Mahindra Scorpio N launched in July 2022

Mahindra has recently celebrated a significant milestone with the production of its 1,00,000th unit of the Scorpio N. Launched in June 2022, the Scorpio N has garnered a lot of attention in the country with a wide range of variants and powertrains on offer.

The Scorpio N lineup is diversified, comprising six variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, Z8L and Z8L 6-seater. These variants cater to different customer preferences and are priced between Rs. 13.60 lakhs and Rs. 21.97 lakhs (ex-showroom). This range ensures that there is an option available for various budget brackets.

Under the hood, the Scorpio N offers two engine choices to consumers. The first is a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine, delivering 200 BHP at 5000 RPM and 380 Nm of torque at 1750-3000 RPM. The second option is a 2.2-litre diesel engine, generating 172 BHP at 3500 RPM and 400 Nm of torque at 1750-2750 RPM. Both engine variants are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

One of the standout features of the Scorpio N is its all-wheel-drive system, coupled with Mahindra’s 4xplor terrain management system. This system offers four terrain modes: Normal, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Rut and Sand.

In terms of sales performance, Mahindra witnessed a commendable growth trajectory in January 2024. The company sold 43,068 SUVs during the month, marking a notable 31% increase compared to the same period last year. However, the total exports for January stood at 1746 units, reflecting a decline from the previous year’s figure of 3009 units.
