Maruti Jimny launch date revealed, the carmaker will announce the pricing and commence the deliveries on 7th June. It has been one of the most awaited cars in the Indian market since a long time.

Maruti Suzuki started accepting bookings in January this year during the 2023 Auto Expo. They have garnered more than 30,000 bookings so far.

The Jimny will be available in two variants – Zeta and Alpha. The Alpha trim has witnessed the most bookings and this variant will get more priority for its production.

Some of the features include auto LED headlamps, 9-inch touchscreen, SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, Arkamys sound system, cruise control, 6 airbags, ESP, hill-hold assist, hill-descent control, rear-view camera, ABS with EBD, etc.

There will be a waiting period of up to 6 months for the manual variants and up to 8 months for the automatic variants.

It is powered by a K15B 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 105 HP and 134.2 Nm of torque. Comes with a choice of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions.

Maruti Suzuki claims 16.94 km/l for the manual variants and 16.39 km/l for the automatic variants. AllGrip Pro 4WD system is being offered as standard.

It will compete with the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. The Jimny is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 10-13 lakhs (ex-showroom).
