The new Wagon R now gets a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine, priced from Rs. 5.10 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

The 1.0-litre petrol engine option of the Wagon R hasn’t been updated yet. However, the carmaker has increased the pricing of all the variants and it now starts from Rs. 4.34 lakhs for the base 1.0-litre LXi trim. This has been done after the introductory pricing period of the tallboy hatch has come to an end.

The 1.2-litre BS6 engine is available only in the VXi and ZXi trims of the Wagon R. The 1.2-litre motor produces 83 PS and 113 nm of torque, mated to 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options.
