McLaren Supercar India Launch
Another supercar brand is set to enter the Indian market officially

British supercar maker McLaren is getting ready to launch its products in India officially. Prices of its models are expected to be announced as early as next week.

McLaren’s entry into the Indian market has long been speculated. Back in 2019, the firm was said to be considering entering the market as it aimed to boost global sales (read article here).

However, nothing transpired for over a year. This could possibly be put down to the spread of COVID-19 (which is still wreaking havoc across the nation) globally.

Now, India has been listed as a region in the configuration section on McLaren’s official website, indicating that the McLaren supercar India launch is imminent.

The British brand is said to have plans to set up a single dealership in the nation, which is likely to be located in Mumbai, and it is believed that prospective customers have been contacted by the firm.

Expect McLaren to offer supercars such as the GT, 720S range and the 765LT initially in India. The launch of the Artura is likely to happen after it goes on sale overseas.

When it enters India, the carmaker will face heat from established brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Aston Martin.
