The MG Astor will only come with 2 petrol engine choices
MG Motor India will be unveiling the Astor tomorrow. However, the compact SUV’s engine specs have leaked already.
The ZS EV’s internal combustion twin will come with 2 petrol engine choices. That’s right, the MG Astor engine options will not include an oil burner.
Thus, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated unit good for 118 BHP and 150 Nm and a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol mill making 161 BHP and 230 Nm of torque will be on offer.
In terms of gearbox choices, the 1.5-litre engine will come with both manual and CVT options, while the turbo-petrol will only be offered with an automatic transmission.
Customers will be able to choose the turbocharged petrol engine in the Sharp and Savvy (top 2) variants. The naturally aspirated unit will be offered in the Super and Smart variants.
The Hyundai Creta rival will come equipped with tonnes of features like LED lights, Level 2 autonomous tech, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, among various others.
