MG Cloud EV Spied

MG Cloud EV one of the new products to launch in India by next year

MG Motor India is preparing to introduce a range of new electric vehicles in the Indian market including the new Cloud EV, which is sold under Baojun brand name in China. The new electric vehicle has been spotted testing in India for the first time.

The carmaker has also filed the design patent of the production version in our country ahead of its launch. The car looks unique at the first glance with its futuristic design details and huge curves. It looks like a huge premium hatchback but it measures more than 4 metres in length.

The front profile of the MG Cloud EV gets a strip of LED lighting running across the width of the car. The big bumper integrates the main headlight units. The side profile gets simple seamless lines and there are no sharp details across the body. The ORVMs are positioned on the front door, there are flushed out door handles for the premium clean look and there is a floating roof design with blacked out roof and pillars.

It is a 5-seater vehicle with spacious interior on offer. It comes with a huge 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and a unique dashboard design with layered finish. The seats also get a premium look with lots of cushioning and diamond stitching pattern.

The Baojun Cloud EV is offered in two battery options in the international market – 37.9 kWh and 50.6 kWh with a claimed range of 360 km and 460 km on full charge. It is yet to be seen what variants and battery sizes will be offered by MG Motor in India. Expected to launch by next year.
