News highlights of the day include BMW, Renault, Tata and Ferrari.
BMW – BMW Motorrad introduced the updated G 310 R and G 310 GS in October 2020. The bikes got some cosmetic tweaks along with new colour options and features. Within a couple of months of launch, the bike maker has hiked the pricing of both the models by Rs. 5000/-. The bikes are now priced at Rs. 2.50 lakhs and Rs. 2.90 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom) for the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS respectively.
Renault – After revealing the concept version late last year, the French carmaker is all set to introduce the production version of the Renault Kiger on 28th January. The compact SUV will make its global debut in India. Renault has teased the silhouette of the car which looks quite similar to the concept.
Tata – The Tata Safari is not only popular amongst private buyers but it has also served the government officials, Indian Armed Forces, Police, etc. With the new generation Safari launch around the corner, we were curious to see how it looks in a police uniform. Ferrari – The Ferrari F8 Tributo gets some Novitec treatment and boy it looks gorgeous! The twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 engine is tuned to produce 791 HP and 898 Nm torque. Does 0-100 km/hr in 2.6 seconds. Top speed is 340 km/hr.
Motor Trivia – Did you know, BMW’s S85 engine is their first and only production V10 engine.
Comment of the day – Sandyzen – “Yap… should have launched from day one, although it still better then the competition when seen from other angle. Still I would say, this one is 90% of what we expect as real Tata Altroz; since the one we expect should have 4 cylinders with DCT and 6 airbags.”
