Scheduled for a late 2025 release, the new Renault Duster and its Nissan counterpart are expected to get distinct exterior designs with latest tech on offer. Both models will be powered by turbo-petrol engines, with the entry-level variant likely to feature a 1.0-litre unit and the bigger 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine will cater to those seeking higher performance levels.
The decision to forego diesel options, including the renowned K9K diesel engine, might come as a surprise to some, given the popularity of diesel-powered SUVs in the Indian market. However, Renault and Nissan seem determined to capitalise on the growing demand for petrol-powered vehicles, aligning with global trends towards electrification and cleaner technologies.
