Toyota revealed the new generation Corolla in November 2018 and the sedan is going to be launched in India in 2020. The vehicle will replace the current Corolla Altis that will complete 6 years of production.

The next gen Toyota Corolla is based on the TNGA platform which underpins a variety of new Toyota and Lexus cars. The vehicle gets major changes to the exteriors and interiors too and it’ll come with a longer equipment list.

Globally the new Toyota Corolla is offered with either a 1.8-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain or a 2.0-litre petrol engine and the India-spec model is likely to get only the hybrid variant. The current Corolla Altis comes with a 1.4-litre diesel engine but this oil-burner isn’t likely to be offered with the new car.
