2013 Nissan Terrano Contest

The revolution in the compact SUV segment has started blooming in India as well as in global markets. The upcoming model in the segment is the Terrano which Nissan has teased a few days back. The revealed design sketch from the company has explained a lot about the Terrano’s design and has exerted a clue for everyone to anticipate the debut of the car in India.

In the present scenario, rising competition has changed the dimensions of companies marketing strategy which was earlier almost not required. Social media has become a revolutionary part of this generation and with the same perspective, Nissan has launched an ‘Unlock Terrano’ contest on Terrano’s official website along with the first rear sketch of the upcoming CUV. The Unlock Terrano frolic is linked up with social networking site, Twitter, where users have to answer the place where they want to take the Terrano (a contest very similar to the Ford EcoSport Urban Discoveries).

Nissan will reward the best answers with Blackberry phones, several other goodies and a few lucky fellows will also get an exclusive preview drive of the Terrano. The German automaker, BMW, has also recently introduced a similar kind of promo activity for its upcoming 1-Series in India. Lets talk about the Terrano’s rear which the company has been showcasing on the Terrano’s web page. The design seems distinctly apart and premium from its sibling, Renault Duster. Nissan will completely revise the rear end of the Terrano with new wing-shaped tail light, sharp design of boot door and bumper.

All in all, the Terrano clads straight, razor-sharp and flat body lines across, that adds crispness to its complete design. However the tail lights on the Terrano look quite like those on the Force One SUV. The Terrano seems more appealing and eye-catchy in comparison to the Duster, however Renault is also on its way to give a significant facelift to the Duster. We have exclusively reported last month that the price range of the Terrano will start from Rs. 8.90 lakhs in India. The Terrano is expected to reach Nissan outlets by the end of September this year to avail the benefits of festive season buying in our country.
