Renault has launched the BS6 version of the Duster in India. With this update, the Duster says goodbye to the 1.5-litre diesel engine, AMT gearbox, AWD as well as the CVT that was offered with the petrol engine. The 2020 Renault Duster is now available only with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a manual gearbox.

The existing 1.5-litre petrol engine has been upgraded to meet the new emission norms. The motor churns out 106 HP and 142 Nm. At the 2020 Auto Expo, Renault had showcased the Duster with a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine which is expected to be launched after a few months. That engine delivers a meaty 156 HP and 250 Nm, along with a 6-speed MT or a CVT. The new variant is likely to get AWD too.

Talking about the current Duster, no changes have been made as of now because the SUV received a facelift in 2019 itself. The base variant is now pricier by Rs. 50,000/- while the mid-spec RxS trim is dearer by Rs. 10,000/-.
