The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 ABS is priced around Rs. 14,000/- over the standard variant.

The Bullet 500 gets a dual-channel ABS

The deadline to meet the mandatory ABS norm is fast approaching in April 2019. Hence, all of the 2-wheeler makers are busy introducing their ABS-inclusive models. As for Royal Enfield, the motorcycle maker has already started updating the entire lineup and the most recent one to join the list is the Bullet 500.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 ABS has been launched in India with a sticker price of Rs. 1,86,961/-, which is roughly around Rs. 14,000/- more expensive over the standard non-ABS variant.

This particular motorcycle (Bullet 500) has received a dual-channel ABS unit, which is very much in line with all other RE models. Hence, the price increase of Rs. 14,000/- is close to similar to all other motorcycles that come inclusive of ABS.

Mechanically, it continues to be powered by the 499cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 27.2 BHP of power at 5250 RPM, while making a peak torque of 41.3 Nm, which comes in at 4000 RPM. The drive is sent to the wheel through a chain-driven 5-speed gearbox unit.

The authorised dealers have already started taking bookings for the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 ABS. On the other hand, the non-ABS variant has been taken off.

RE has equipped almost all the motorcycles in its lineup with ABS, barring just the entry-level Bullet 350, 350ES and a few standard colour trims of the Classic 350.
