Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Side

Royal Enfield Wingman will show vehicle health and insights via the RE app

Royal Enfield has introduced Wingman connected vehicle feature today. It has been launched with the Super Meteor 650 initially and will be available in other bikes as well in the coming days. Eventually, Royal Enfield Wingman will be offered as a standard fitment in future models.

The Wingman is available for both iOS and Android devices. It is supported by a telematics hardware and can be operated through the RE app. It is currently available only for the Indian customers. Those who book the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 from 16th November, will get this feature as standard but with a price increase of Rs. 6500/- for the device. Existing owners can opt for this feature by purchasing this device with fitment cost.

Now let’s go through the features of the Wingman. It provides real-time information about the motorcycle’s health to the rider. Through an interactive dashboard, the rider is able to get critical updates about fuel level, battery status and service alerts on the app. It also comes with features like engine on/off alerts and is GPS enabled that allows location tracking, last parked location tracking and walk-to-my-motorcycle feature.

The Wingman also provides insights on the daily rides, riding patterns, trip information such as the ride routes, max speed, average speed etc, including sudden braking and sudden acceleration notifications.

Riders can receive proactive Royal Enfield GRID support with real-time guidance and vehicle alerts. The Indian bike maker has set up a full-fledged customer support team who will reach out to the customers if a customer is likely to encounter a technical snag with their motorcycle. They can also choose to call the GRID Support at a click of a button in the app in case of any assistance that may be required during the ride anytime and anywhere in the country.
