Suzuki seems to be working on an all-new naked streetfighter displacing 300cc. The patent images of the motorcycle have been issued by a UK publication known as Bennetts and released by Haojue, Suzuki’s partner company in China. The new bike will be sold as the Haojue HJ300-A in China while it is likely to be badged as a Suzuki for other international markets.

The technical specifications of the baby GSX aren’t available at the moment. The powertrain looks similar to that on the GSX-250R but the motorcycle will get a new chassis and an aluminium swingarm that replaces the box section swingarm. Going by the patent images, the GSX-S300 uses an inverted forks setup up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are via disc brakes at both the ends. The motorcycle is also likely to sport a full LED headlamp and a coloured instrument cluster.

The bike is expected to make its global debut at the 2018 EICMA in Milan, Italy but India launch plans seem hazy at the moment. However, according to some sources, the vehicle is likely to be launched here in 2019. If launched, the GSX-S300 will go against the likes of the KTM Duke 250 and the Kawasaki Z250.
