Catering to the Indian enthusiast, Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched two new All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) in the Indian market including the Ozark 250 and Quadsport Z400 with prices starting at Rs. 5.45 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). ATVs aren’t new to India with Polaris having already made its presence felt in the segment and offers a range of products. That said, Suzuki will be making its range more easily attainable, selling the models via its dealerships pan India.

The Suzuki Ozark 250 is a versatile leisure ATV tuned for easy riding and practicality with several standard features. Power comes from a 250cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC engine that gets a 5-speed semi-automatic transmission and propels the rear wheels. The automaker says the Ozark is a low maintenance design ATV while the styling is a mix of modern and rugged ready to take on the difficult terrains. The automatic clutch makes it easy for anyone to ride it.

Coming to the bigger Suzuki Quadsport Z400, the model is a more powerful sport-ATV designed for high performance off-roading and gets sportier chassis, high torque output, crisp throttle response courtesy of the fuel-injection system among other tech that comes from Suzuki’s superbike stable. Power on the Quadsport Z400 comes from a 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine with fuel injection that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Both ATVs get an independent, double wishbone suspension with a swingarm type unit at the rear while braking performance comes front discs and a rear drum setup.

Suzuki India will be officially unveiling the new ATVs at the India Superbike Festival (ISF) to be held at Amanora Park Town in Pune this weekend. In the first phase, the automaker will be selling the ATVs through authorised dealers in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Jodhpur and Hyderabad. Optimistic about entering the ATV space in the country, the automaker also stated that it will introduce more such offerings in the future thereby expanding the product lineup.
