Suzuki 150cc scooter is set to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo in the coming month.

Suzuki currently has the Let’s 110 and Access 125 in its scooter portfolio

Tweaking its game plan for success in the Indian two-wheeler market, Suzuki announced its decision in November last year to bid adieu to the commuter segment and focus on scooters and premium motorcycles. After the launch of the Intruder 150 last year, the Japanese manufacturer is set to make a mark at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo with its new 150cc scooter along with a CKD motorcycle in the middle-weight segment.

The scooter is said to be a revolution in terms of design and features. Since Suzuki already has the Let’s and Access firmly deployed in the 110cc and 125cc segments respectively, it is being speculated that the new scooter will draw power from a 150cc motor. Thus, the Aprilia SR 150 and Piaggio Vespa 150 range will be on top of its competitor list. The company has promised to launch two new scooters and a new motorcycle every year.

There are no other details available about the scooter as of now. More information is likely to surface as we get closer to the D-Day. In other news, sharing the stage with the upcoming scooter at the event is a premium bike which is rumoured to be either the Suzuki V-Strom 650 or the GSX-S750. The motorcycle will be brought to India via the CKD route. Suzuki aims to double its market share by the end of this decade.
