The Altroz is Tata’s newest contender to rival the remaining premium hatchbacks in India. A set of spy shots have surfaced online giving away most of its cabin!

The interior looks supple and plush, which is further accentuated with its dual-tone setup. It gets a 3-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with chrome inserts. The multi-function steering wheel gets cruise control and a voice assist feature. Adding on, the instrument cluster bears resemblance with the Harrier and sports a digital MID and an analogue speedometer.

The centre sits boldly with its upright touchscreen infotainment system. The interior also gives us a glimpse of blue coloured ambient lighting. Besides this, the edges of AC vents, door handles are finished in chrome.

We expect the Altroz to be offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine as well as a 1.5-litre diesel powertrain. Both manual and automatic transmissions might be on offer as well.

The Tata Altroz is going to come with a lot of features. For instance, the doors will open at an angle up to 90-degrees which will enhance cabin convenience. Other features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, etc. will be a part of the package.

While Tata hasn’t explicitly mentioned a date till now, it is most likely to be launched before the year ends. Upon its launch, there’ll be a tough competition with the Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and the Hyundai i20.
