Tata Altroz Racer likely to get sporty exhaust note, launch by mid-June
Tata Altroz Racer, the much awaited performance variant of the hatchback, has been teased officially for the first time in this video. While we have already seen the visual changes multiple times before, the sporty exhaust note has been teased for the first time in this official video.
The Altroz Racer will compete with the Hyundai i20 N Line. The i20 gets sporty exterior and interior styling, tweaked suspension and steering wheel along with a louder exhaust note but the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine option that produces 120 PS and 172 Nm of torque.
Similarly, the Altroz Racer will come with sporty styling like dual tone black and orange exterior paint, white stripes on the roof and the hood along with larger spoiler and new alloy wheels. The interior will get all-black treatment, dual tone colour with orange contrasting elements including ambient lighting, stitching and accents. Now the louder exhaust note has also been confirmed along with a more powerful Nexon derived turbo petrol engine 1.2-litre motor which produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of torque.
It is yet to be seen if Tata Motors will offer a tweaked suspension and steering or not with the Altroz Racer. We believe with slight tuning, it will offer more sporty driving dynamics to suit the character.
Some of the features that are likely to be offered include 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the new UI, updated digital instrument cluster, ventilated leatherette front seats, 360 degree camera, voice activated electric sunroof and 6 airbags as standard.
