Tata Founders Edition
All of the models from the manufacturer now have Founders Edition variants

Tata Motors has introduced the “Founders Edition” models of all of its passenger cars to commemorate the 75th year of its operations.

Founded in 1945 by Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhoy Tata or JRD Tata in short, the firm started life as Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company (TELCO) entered the commercial vehicle industry 9 years after its inception.

In 1991, the Indian firm stepped into the passenger vehicle market and the rest, as they say, is history. Today, Tata Motors has a range of accomplished products, some of which have also proven to be among the safest in their respective segments.

The Tata Founders Edition is an exclusive offer for Tata Group employees and all of the cars in its portfolio come under the banner. Those who would like to own a Founders Edition model can register their interest online.

While the cars are identical to the ones sold to the general public aesthetically and mechanically, they do come with certain differentiating factors.

Look closely, for the Tata emblem has a blue background on the Founders Edition models. Further, the JRD Tata signage can be seen on the exterior (front fender, rear pillar and boot lid) and inside (on the dashboard) of the cars.

Also, people who choose to buy a Founders Edition car will be provided with iconic series postcards and photo frame.
