Tata Motors has been deleting some features from their cars.

Tata Hexa Long Term
The Hexa misses out on some features that were there when it was launched

Tata Motors has improved their products over the last few years. The company had launched the flagship Tata Hexa and the compact SUV Tata Nexon which has received a good 4-star safety rating in NCAP test. But of late Tata is deleting some features from their cars. The Hexa, Nexon and Tiago are the victims of this case.

The deleted features on the Tata Hexa includes the roof rails, third-row charging port, speed-dependent volume control, sun blinds, ConnectNext app and steering-mounted controls. The soft-touch dashboard with Hexa branding will be available only in XT variant, while the auto down function on driver’s side window and sunglass holder will not be a part of standard fitment. The full-sized spare wheel was present only for the first few units of the Hexa, which you won’t find in the current batch of Hexa.

The Nexon was the other victim, ISOFIX child seat mounts are now available only in the XZ+ and XZA+ variants and not as standard. The Nexon XE variant doesn’t get wheel covers and the USB charging slot is now omitted from XM variant.

The Tata Tiago deleted features includes under-bonnet insulation from petrol variants, boot lamp and a full-sized spare wheel is replaced by a 13-inch wheel. According to the new brochure, the rear parcel tray, day and night cabin mirror, vanity mirror is now removed from the XT variant.

These features were a part of the car when they were launched, considering all the deleted features Tata has not yet decreased the price of their cars. Well, Tata has added some new features to the Hexa such as hydraulic brake assist, 6 and 7 seater options instead of only 7 seaters, door trim inserts and Tungsten Silver colour.
