Tata Motors will launch the Xenon pick-up which will replace the TL Sprint. The Xenon will come with the same engine as the Safari, that is the 2.2L DICOR with 140bhp on tap. The Xenon will be positioned as a premium lifestyle pick-up vehicle for personal usage and will be launched this month.

Xenon was launched in Thailand last year and currently retails in South-East Asian markets and Europe. It will be positioned in the premium lifestyle segment in India. Xenon retails for $17,000 to $19,500 in Thailand. The only model that comes close to this vehicle in India is Scorpio Getaway.
