The Pulsar 150 holds on to the coveted number 1 position in the top-selling 150cc bikes chart for the month of April 2018.

Top Selling 150cc Bikes In April 2018

April 2018 has been satisfactory for the 150cc 2-wheeler segment in India with the Pulsar 150 leading the fray. The Bajaj bike saw an increment of 48% in sales and is the most sought-after 150cc bike in the country.

The TVS Apache series slots itself in the second position and mind you, this is the cumulative sales figure of the Apache 160, 180 and the 200. TVS doesn’t give separate sales numbers for the Apache 160, 180 and the 200 and hence we are forced to put the sales of the entire Apache series here. Sales of the Pulsar rival has slightly seen a downfall. Standing third in the list is Honda CB Unicorn 150. Known for its superb engine refinement, the Unicorn 150 too registered a healthy 40% growth in sales.

The Yamaha FZ retains its fourth spot by selling 20,366 units in April as opposed to 18,348 units in March 2018. The Honda CB Hornet 160R slips from its position and in its spot comes another Honda 160cc bike, the X-Blade. The latter is based on the CB Unicorn 160 and shares all its underpinnings with the CB Hornet 160R. The X-Blade was launched in the month of March and its sales numbers tell that the radically-styled motorcycle has been received well. The CB Hornet 160R registered sales of 7728 units in April as against just 3148 units in March 2018.

The Yamaha R15 and the Bajaj V15 occupy the seventh and eighth spots respectively. The former sold 6034 units while the latter managed to find 4040 homes in April 2018. Meanwhile, the Yamaha SZ registered sales of 3796 units. Suzuki’s budget cruiser, the Intruder has managed to outsell the Gixxer but by a small margin. The Intruder clocked sales of 3726 units while the Gixxer sold 3636 units in April. The Honda CB Unicorn 160, Hero Xtreme and the Hero Achiever stand in the twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth positions respectively. While the Hero Xtreme and Achiever managed to find 1691 and 1557 homes respectively, the Unicorn 160 sold 2065 units.
