The Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger are slowly and steadily eating into their competitors’ sales

Compact SUV sales in June 2021 was led by the Maruti Vitara Brezza which recorded sales of 12,833 units with a 183 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth.

The second spot in the list was taken by the Tata Nexon which found 8033 takers, followed by May 2021 sales leader, the Kia Sonet with 5963 units sales.

Fourth-placed Venue from Hyundai recorded sales of 4865 units this past month, while the XUV300 from Mahindra breached 4600 unit sales during the same time.

Both Ford EcoSport (3511 units) and Nissan Magnite (3252 units) managed to find over 3000 new buyers and occupied the sixth and seventh positions in the June 2021 compact SUV sales.

As restrictions are revoked, Nissan should be able to increase production of Magnite to 3500 units a month

The Toyota Urban Cruiser And Renault Kiger came eighth and ninth with 2584 and 2035 unit sales, followed by the Mahindra Thar (1065 units) and the Honda WR-V (466 units).

Barring the WR-V and those launched within 1 year from June 2021, all the other models posted solid sales growth this past month.

Total sales of the compact SUVs in the list stood at 49,222 units, which is a mega 220 percent YoY growth.
