It is rather unusual to see the Activa not cross the 1 lakh sales figure

When compared with May 2021, scooter sales in June were far higher

Scooter sales rebounded strongly in June 2021 and it was the Honda Activa which took the top spot by registering sales of 94,274 units.

The TVS Jupiter once again occupied the second position in the top 10 scooters sales chart having performed slightly better than the Suzuki Access 125.

While the TVS product found 31,848 new homes, 31,399 individuals purchased the Suzuki scooter this past month.

Then came the Dio from Honda that recorded 18,983 unit sales to take fourth place in the sales chart, followed by the Pleasure+ from Hero MotoCorp that found 17,937 new takers.

TVS’ NTorq came in fifth with 15,544 unit sales, Suzuki’s Burgman Street was sixth (7935 units) and in eighth position sat the Destini 125 from Hero having registered sales of 5491 units.

In the last 2 positions of the June 2021 scooter sales chart came the TVS Scooty Pep+ with 3368 unit sales and the Honda Grazia which found 3334 new homes.

Half of the scooters in the list (Activa, Jupiter, NTorq, Destini 125, Scooty Pep+) posted year-on-year (YoY) sales degrowth.

Moreover, the scooters in the list posted sales of 2.30 lakh units combined as opposed to 2.46 lakh units during the same period last year, resulting in a 6.6 percent sales degrowth.
