Uno Minda launches new trumpet horn range targeting passenger and commercial vehicle aftermarket
Uno Minda has expanded its aftermarket portfolio in India with the launch of a new range of trumpet horns aimed at improving on-road audibility and durability for a wide range of vehicles. The new lineup is designed for both passenger and commercial vehicles and focuses on delivering clearer sound output along with reliability that aligns with original equipment (OE) standards.
The company notes that the growing traffic density and varied driving environments in India have increased the importance of effective on-road communication. Vehicle horns continue to play a critical role in alerting other road users and improving situational awareness, particularly in congested urban conditions. With this in mind, Uno Minda’s new trumpet horn range is intended to offer stronger sound clarity while maintaining controlled noise levels.
The newly introduced lineup includes multiple products developed for different vehicle categories and user requirements. At the premium end is the E80 12V Electronic Trumpet Horn, which is designed to deliver refined sound output with consistent performance. The horn features an integrated electronic chip to help maintain stable sound levels and includes functions such as reverse polarity protection and plug-and-play installation for easier fitment. The product also comes with a three-year warranty from the manufacturing date.
Uno Minda has also introduced the T80 12V Vertical Trumpet Horn with Grill, which features a compact vertical design aimed at saving installation space. It is designed with resistance to dust and water splashes, making it suitable for varied operating conditions. Another version, the T80 12V Vertical Trumpet Horn without Grill, focuses on delivering clear sound projection in a compact form factor.
For users seeking a more accessible option, the T80 12V Trumpet Horn offers universal compatibility across a broad range of passenger and light commercial vehicles. The horn uses ABS construction and is designed to provide reliable sound performance while maintaining durability.
The company has also expanded its offering for commercial vehicles with the introduction of the T90 24V Melody Trumpet Horn. This product is designed specifically for commercial applications and aims to replace conventional pipe horns. It features multiple selectable tones, allowing fleet operators to choose from several sound profiles while maintaining strong audibility in high-traffic conditions and on highways.
Uno Minda states that the new trumpet horn range has been engineered with durability in mind. The components are manufactured using high-grade materials and tested to withstand exposure to heat, dust, moisture, vibration and other demanding operating conditions typically encountered on Indian roads.
The new horns are currently available through offline retail outlets as well as online platforms including Amazon, Flipkart and Uno Minda’s own e-commerce portal. Prices for the range start at approximately Rs. 800 and go up to around Rs. 3400 depending on the model.
