The festive season is nearing and we Indians love to splurge on vehicles, electronics and clothing in this season. Companies also take advantage of the festive season and launch new products as well as offer attractive purchase schemes on them. Volkswagen is also joining the bandwagon and coming up with limited editions of the Polo and Vento. The Polo Exquisite Edition and Vento Highline Plus editions will be launched very soon and both of them will get cosmetic tweaks and feature additions.

The Polo and Vento will get carbon fibre wrap for the ORVMs, black roof and black side body moulding. The Polo Exquisite will also get a chrome garnish on the tailgate. Both the vehicles also get scuff plates, carbon fibre finish on the centre console, removable window sunshades and fabric mats. The Polo also gets new seat covers with an Exquisite logo while the Vento gets a new Blaupunkt audio system with satellite navigation.

Apart from the above, there are no other changes to the vehicles and they will continue to be powered by the existing engines and will have the same mechanicals. The Polo Exquisite edition will be offered in the Highline trim of the 1.2-litre MPI and 1.5-litre TDI variants while the Vento Highline Plus will be offered with the 1.6-litre MPI and 1.5-litre TDI Highline variants. Prices of the Polo will remain the same while the Vento Highline Plus will see a hike of Rs. 29,000/-.

A lot of manufacturers have launched or are launching new limited editions this time around. While Fiat is soon introducing the Punto and Avventura Abarth models, Maruti has also come up with the Swift Glory Edition that also features only cosmetic enhancements. Apart from special editions introduced by manufacturers, dealerships too are coming up with their own kitted out models of cars, such as the Hyundai Creta which is offered at some dealerships with aftermarket accessories.
